SCRIBES was founded with a simple but powerful conviction: organisations should never have to sacrifice data privacy for productivity. Every day, millions of meetings generate critical business intelligence — strategic decisions, action items, confidential discussions — yet most transcription services route this data through servers outside your jurisdiction.
We built SCRIBES to change that. Every byte of audio, every transcript, every AI-generated summary is processed and stored exclusively within Swiss data centres, protected by some of the strongest data protection laws in the world.
Switzerland is not part of the EU or the EEA, yet it maintains an adequacy decision under GDPR. Swiss law — specifically the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) — provides additional layers of protection that go beyond what most jurisdictions offer. Data stored in Switzerland cannot be accessed by foreign governments without going through Swiss legal channels.
For SCRIBES, this means your meeting data enjoys the highest level of legal and technical protection available anywhere in the world.
We are a small, focused team of engineers and privacy advocates based in Switzerland. We believe that AI should serve people, not surveil them. Every product decision we make is filtered through one question: does this protect our users’ data?
If you share our vision for a more private, more productive way to work, we’d love to hear from you.
